What if Hurricane Irma had hit us at Category 5? What if our transportation network was damaged or destroyed? What transportation assets would we repair or replace first?
Scenarios like these will be discussed at a workshop on March 1-2, 2018 at the Manatee County Public Safety Department in Bradenton. The workshop, one of six around the country, is part of a research pilot project funded by the Federal Transit Administration in partnership with the National Association of MPOs, and will be led by the Transportation Research and Education Center of Portland State University.
The two-day workshop costs $20 and includes continental breakfast and hot lunch each day.
