Plan Hillsborough shares planning for the future with the public and students of all ages

December 2017 – In recent weeks, Plan Hillsborough staff has been busy sharing the importance of planning for the future. Enjoy some snapshots of the highlights:

  • Visits to various Hillsborough County public elementary schools on November 16 for the Great American Teach-In
  • On November 17, Michele Ogilvie and Brandon Berry joined Lena Young Green and the Department of Health’s Dr. Ayesha Johnson for a panel on integrating health and transportation at the 2017 Community Indicators Consortium Community Impact Summit
  • A presentation by MPO Executive Director Beth Alden at State Representative Sean Shaw’s November 29 well-attended Minority Transportation Forum
  • A presentation of the 2017 Great Places in Florida People’s Choice Award to Downtown Pensacola by Brandon Henry,┬áChair of the American Planning Association’s Florida Young Planners Group on behalf of APA Florida on November 30
  • Several staff took a hands-on approach teaching a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning class about the consistency review process on December 1 at the University of South Florida
