Please join the Planning Commission for our next Info BBQ (Brown Bag Quarterly) on Wednesday, January 31 at The Graham at Gracepoint! The Info BBQ begins at 11:30 a.m. with a complimentary lunch and presentation followed by a walking tour from noon until 1:00 p.m.
“We believe affordable housing shouldn’t look like affordable housing; it can be designed with modern features, green certified, and a place proudly called home,” said Gracepoint Special Projects Manager Susan Morgan, MSW. Susan will be joined by the developer Bowen Arnold, Manager and Principal at DDA Development to lead the tour.
This three-story property offers the best in senior apartment living – affordability, location, and amenities. Located in the heart of Tampa in East Seminole Heights on the fringe of Historic Old Seminole Heights, The Graham is near Hillsborough Avenue, I-275, and I-4. This housing development is also within walking distance of public transportation and shopping.
The Graham was previously known as The Graham Home, a special needs home. The land was originally gifted by Letitia V. Graham for the creation of a home for senior citizens after the death of her husband, Edmund Gaines Graham.
This project was privately funded and used low income housing tax credits and a loan from the state of Florida. The community has unique features such as “adopted apartments” which are sponsored by community groups and residents can volunteer to earn “Graham bucks” which can be used in the community store. Space on the tour is limited, so please RSVP and join us on Wednesday, January 31st from 11:30a to 1:00p. The Graham has graciously offered to provide lunch to all participants. Monetary donations or cleaning supplies will be accepted to help stock the community’s store and provide Graham bucks for residents in need.
RSVP by Monday, January 29th by contacting Sharon Snyder at email@example.com or 813-273-3774 x316, and we’ll see you on January 31st. The Graham is located at 2400 East Henry Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
