You’re warmly invited to bring your own brown bag lunch on January 5th, from noon to 1 p.m., and join our transportation staff for this discussion. Dr. Rothenberg is a nationally recognized expert in safety data systems and performance measures.
Vision Zero is an approach to road safety that began in Sweden in 1997. At the core of the worldwide Vision Zero movement is the belief that death and injury on city streets is preventable. For the most part, these are not accidents. Collisions are often the result of poor behaviors and unforgiving roadway designs. So we must approach the problem from multiple angles – street designs that emphasize safety, predictability, and the potential for human error, coupled with targeted education and data-driven enforcement.
This public event is FREE. Please BYO brown bag lunch!
Space is limited, so please RSVP to sandy@plancom.org or 813/273-3774 x314.
