March 2020 – The project teams for the Wimauma Village Residential & Community Character Profile (WVR-2) and Residential Planned-2 (RP-2) Land Use Study continue to engage the community in key discussions. To ensure an open and collaborative process, both have held stakeholder meetings, feedback sessions, open houses, presentations to community groups, and conducted online surveys. In March, the WVR-2 and RP-2 open houses allowed residents to meet the project teams, ask questions, and share their concerns and vision for their community’s future. Using the responses gathered from each of our public engagement activities, we are working together to develop recommendations on updates to the community plan and/or land use categories as applicable.

Wimauma Village Residential (WVR-2)
The WVR-2 Community Character Profile will provide an analysis of the market and economic development trends affecting demand for new development and redevelopment in the Wimauma Village Plan Area.
Residential Planned-2 (RP-2)
The RP-2 Land Use Study will provide an analysis of development trends affecting current and future development for RP-2 designated lands located in Balm and Sun City Center.
