F: HC CPA 14-06 Transportation Element – Appendix G and Map 25 Hillsborough County Right-of-Way Corridor Plan
(Status: Adopted)

This is a privately initiated text and map amendment to the Hillsborough County Transportation Element.  This amendment seeks to remove a roadway from the County’s Corridor Preservation Plan, which would affect the proposed extension of Seffner‐Valrico Road. The existing Seffner‐Valrico Road ends abruptly at Front Street.  Presently traffic utilizes Front Street and Mt. Carmel Road to connect to SR 60.  The Corridor Preservation Plan envisions an extension of Seffner‐Valrico Road across the CSX railroad tracks and south to State Road 60.

Justification submitted for this amendment includes an analysis recently conducted by Hillsborough County Public Works that the corridor in un‐implementable as well as the crossing of the CSX tracks is problematic and data from the County regarding forecasted surrounding traffic flow with and without the connection.

Modifying the Corridor Preservation Plan requires removing the existing alignment on Map 25, and deleting the name of the corridor listing in Appendix G.
